Dishwasher & Washing Machine Installation Dubai
Looks like an unbox-and-plug-in job right up until it isn't. A properly installed appliance needs a dedicated shutoff valve, a correctly routed drain connection, and the right electrical setup, done wrong, it doesn't fail on day one, it leaks quietly inside a cabinet months later.
We install new units, reconnect existing ones after a renovation, and handle hardwired connections properly, first time.

Three Things, Done Correctly
Water Supply
A dedicated shutoff valve, not shared with another fixture, so the appliance can be isolated in two minutes for any reason without cutting water to the kitchen or a bathroom.
Drain Connection
Routed into a standpipe, sink drain branch, or shared connection point, with the height and routing that prevents dirty water siphoning back into the appliance between cycles.
Electrical
A washing machine typically just needs a grounded outlet. A dishwasher is a genuine choice, hardwired or plug-in, covered in full below.
Hardwired vs. Plug-In
Both are legitimate, code-compliant options with no meaningful cost difference in a straightforward installation. A plug-in connection is simpler to disconnect later, for a repair, a warranty replacement, or a renovation, without needing an electrician on-site. A hardwired connection removes any risk of the appliance being accidentally unplugged during cleaning. Bosch dishwashers, common in Dubai kitchens, often use a proprietary connection requiring hardwiring specifically, so the choice isn't always fully open depending on the brand and model you've bought.
The High Loop, and Sharing a Drain Line
Why the drain hose routing matters
A dishwasher's drain hose needs to rise above the drain connection point, secured high under the counter, before going down into the waste system. This "high loop" stops water sitting in the sink's drain line from siphoning backward into the dishwasher when it isn't running. Skip it, and the result shows up weeks later as standing water at the bottom of the appliance before a cycle starts, or a smell that doesn't match anything you've actually washed, not as an obvious fault on day one.
Can both appliances share one drain?
Yes, a dishwasher and washing machine can connect into the same branch line through separate, properly sized fittings, a normal setup in many Dubai kitchens. What matters is that the branch is sized to handle both appliances draining at or near the same time, since a washing machine discharges a large volume quickly, and a branch sized for one appliance alone can back up if the other happens to drain at the same moment.
Installation Cost
Priced by whether it's a swap on existing connections or a first-time install needing new work.

Removal and disposal of an old appliance, and any cabinetry adjustment for a differently-sized new unit, are worth confirming upfront, since some installers include these and others charge separately. A fully integrated model with a matching door panel takes longer to fit than a freestanding unit, regardless of brand.
Installation Shortcuts That Show Up Months Later
None of these cause an immediate, obvious problem. All of them cost more to fix once cabinetry is finished around them.
- ⚠A missing dedicated shutoff valve, connected to an existing valve serving another fixture instead
- ⚠A drain hose clamp over- or under-tightened, both of which eventually fail under normal vibration
- ⚠Supply hose connections tightened by feel rather than to spec, loosening gradually over months
- ⚠Hard water scale narrowing an appliance's inlet valve over years, the same wear pattern covered on our water softener page
- ⚠A washing machine left unlevelled, vibrating and stressing every connection during every spin cycle
Reasonable to do yourself
A like-for-like swap on existing connections, or checking that supply hoses are properly tightened if you've noticed a slow drip.
Worth calling a pro for
Any first-time install needing a new valve, drain, or circuit. Any hardwired connection. Anything joining a shared drain line with another appliance.
Reduced fill pressure from scale buildup, or from weak pressure throughout the property, are two different problems worth telling apart before assuming the appliance is at fault.
